Who Qualifies For A Bursary Or College Student Loan From NSFAS?
The National Student Financial Aid Scheme (NSFAS) has officially opened the 2025 application procedure.
Applications are now open and can shut on fifteen December 2024.
*** Who qualifies for NSFAS funding
To qualify for NSFAS funding, an applicant will have to satisfy the subsequent criteria:
• Be a South African citizen or copyright who originates from a house that has a combined gross family earnings that does not exceed R350 000 per annum.
• Individuals with disabilities qualify if their combined residence profits will not exceed R600 000 per annum.
• SASSA recipients instantly qualify for funding and want not submit any proof of income.
*** Loan Scheme for the Missing Middle
The NSFAS Loan Scheme for the missing middle is open up to all South African citizens and permanent people from homes with combined R350 000 and R600 000 per annum.
Applicants are reminded to provide the proper Identification Doc numbers, names, and surname, as mirrored of their South African ID.
NSFAS only funds individuals who are learning or intend to study in a public university or TVET college in South Africa.
All students who wish to study in any of the public universities and TVET here colleges should apply timeously and not to wait until the last day.
Learners do not have to wait for matric results to apply for NSFAS. They should apply now and avoid delays in the processing of their application.
